LUCENA CITY — A joint search and rescue team recovered Sunday the body of one of two passengers who went missing after a jeepney was swept away by strong river currents in Rosario, Batangas, on Saturday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said. The PCG Southern Tagalog District said the body was spotted by an aerial drone at 8:57 a.m. along the river channel, about 3 kilometers downstream from the spillway crossing in Barangay Colongan where the incident occurred.
