This 1992 Porsche 911 Carrera RS is an Italian-market example that was owned by comedian Jerry Seinfeld before the current owner’s purchase in 2020, and its odometer now shows 13k kilometers (~8k miles). Finished in Black over black and gray multi-tone leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. It is equipped with a seam-welded chassis, a limited-slip differential, an aluminum front trunk lid, a speed-activated rear spoiler, magnesium 17″ Cup wheels, adjustable Bilstein coilovers, and fixed-back Recaro bucket seats. This 964 911 Carrera RS is offered on dealer consignment by the Avant Garde Collection, a BaT Local Partner in Arizona, with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, documentation, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

The Carrera RS was reintroduced with the 964 chassis and featured a seam-welded bodyshell as well as an aluminum front trunk lid, rolled fenders, and thinner side and rear windows than those used on the standard Carrera. This example is finished in Black (700) and features faux fog lights, side marker lamps, dual side mirrors, and a speed-activated rear spoiler.

Magnesium 17″ Cup wheels are mounted with 205/50 front and 255/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The Carrera RS’s ride height was lower than that of a standard 964, and it also featured stiffer springs and adjustable anti-sway bars. Anti-lock braking is provided by a four-piston caliper and a cross-drilled rotor at each corner.

The fixed-back Recaro seats are upholstered in black and gray multi-tone leather. Additional appointments include roll-up windows, red seat belts and door-pull straps, and a heater. The car was delivered from the factory without airbags, air conditioning, carpeting, sound-deadening material, or rear seats.

The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 300-km/h speedometer, a quartz clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 13k kilometers (~8k miles), approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.6-liter M64/03 flat-six was equipped from the factory with a lightened flywheel, a sport-tuned Bosch engine-management system, and a cooling fan driven by a single belt. The consigning dealer reports changing the oil, measuring the cylinder compression, and replacing the fuel pump and DME relay in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle that features steel synchronizers, closer ratios than the standard Carrera, and an asymmetrical limited-slip differential.

The Certificate of Authenticity shown above lists drivetrain serial numbers as well as colors and optional equipment.

The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries.
