This 1939 Ford 9N tractor is an early production example that has been refurbished. According to the seller, it remained with the original owner until 2005, when it was purchased by the current owner. The tractor wears a polished aluminum hood and gray-painted fenders, wheels, and running gear. It is powered by a 120ci inline-four linked with a three-speed manual transmission and is equipped with a spring-suspended operator’s seat, a Ferguson hydraulic three-point hitch, a cultivator, and independent rear drum brakes. This 9N tractor is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner in Lakeville, Connecticut, on a bill of sale.

Ford introduced the 9N tractor in 1939, and production continued until the introduction of the 2N model in 1942. This example has rear half fenders finished in gray as well as a polished aluminum hood and a chrome front bumper.

The 19″ front and 32″ rear steel wheels have gray-painted centers are mounted with Firestone tires with cracks in the sidewalls. Stopping is accomplished via independent rear drums.

The operator’s station houses a steel seat mounted on a spring. Controls consist of a hand throttle behind the steering wheel, a clutch pedal, and twin levers for the independent rear brakes.

The steering wheel sits ahead of gauges for coolant temperature and amperage. The tractor is not equipped with an hour meter; therefore total operating hours are unknown.

The 120ci inline-four routes power to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission.

The tractor is equipped with a Ferguson hydraulic three-point hitch and a cultivator that is finished in the same gray as the tractor.
