This 1953 MG TD was the subject of a cosmetic refurbishment in 2015 that included a repaint in red, a retrim of the interior in black leather, and installation of a replacement black soft top. Powered by a 1,250cc XPAG inline-four linked to a four-speed manual transmission, the car features 15″ steel wheels, an electric fuel pump, fender-mounted side mirrors, a folding windshield, and a wood-veneer dashboard. This TD was acquired by the current owner in 2025 and is now offered on dealer consignment in Florida with a California title.

The car was refinished in red during the aforementioned refurbishment, at which point a replacement black soft top was fitted. Exterior details include a folding windshield, fender-mounted side mirrors, running boards, and front bumper overriders.

Body-color 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with Excelsior Racing tires. A covered spare is affixed to the rear, and stopping power is provided by drum brakes.

The cabin houses a split bench seat retrimmed in black leather, and amenities include a wood veneer dashboard panel, map pockets, lap belts, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror.

The banjo-style steering wheel is mounted on an adjustable column and frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock as well as auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles.

The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors with pancake air cleaners and was factory-rated at 54 horsepower. An electric fuel pump is installed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The California title lists a VIN of “222420”, which is the suffix of the engine number, “XPAGTD222420”, shown on the factory tag above.
