This 1968 Cadillac Eldorado spent more than four decades off the road before it was acquired by the seller in 2021, and subsequent work involved replacing fuel and ignition components for the 472ci V8, servicing the three-speed automatic transmission, repainting the car black, and replacing the black vinyl roof. Portions of the black upholstery were also repaired, the exhaust system was replaced, and the 15″ wheels were fitted with replacement covers and tires. Details include concealed headlights, chrome bumpers and trim, power steering, front disc brakes, power windows, and a push-button radio. Previously offered on BaT in August 2026, this Eldorado is now offered again at no reserve with the owner’s manual, refurbishment photos, spare parts, and New York registration.
Finished from the factory in Sable Black, the car was repainted under current ownership, and the vinyl roof was replaced. Work also included repairing rust and dents, patching the quarter panels, and replacing weatherstripping, window seals, bulbs, and emblems. There are two dents on the front bumper, the windshield washer does not work, the wiper blades need to be replaced, and the headlight doors open at different speeds.
Steel 15″ wheels were fitted with replacement seven-hole covers and Nexen N’Priz tires following the seller’s acquisition. The front brake pads and rear shoes have also been replaced. The car is equipped with power steering.
Black upholstery covers the two rows of bench seats, and interior work involved repairing the lower upholstery on the front bench as well as replacing woodgrain trim, the door sill plates, and the trunk carpet. Appointments include power windows and a push-button radio. The cruise control, air conditioning, left side dash speaker, and dial to set the analog clock do not work, and the left turn signal does not self-cancel.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears a Cadillac wreath and crest and is mounted to a tilting and telescoping column. Instrumentation includes a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 96k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 472ci V8 was equipped from the factory with a four-barrel carburetor for a rating of 375 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque. Components replaced following the seller’s acquisition include the following:

- Fuel lines, filter, and sending unit
- Thermostat
- Radiator hoses
- Hood insulation
- Distributor cap and rotor
- Spark plugs and wires
- Starter
- Alternator
- Radiator
Power is routed to the front wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, which was fitted with a replacement modulator valve as part of the work under current ownership. The exhaust system was also replaced.
