This 1970 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a 454ci LS5 V8 and received NCRS Top Flight awards annually from 2022 to 2024 following restoration work. The car is refinished in red over red and further equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, a Positraction limited-slip differential, a white convertible top, 15″ Rally wheels, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, air conditioning, and an AM/FM stereo. The current owner acquired the car in January 2026. This C3 convertible is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with NCRS awards, a binder of service records, and a clean Florida title in the owner’s name.
The car was finished at the factory in Monza Red (974) and refinished under previous ownership. Features include a retractable white convertible top, pop-up headlights, twin front grilles, fender vents, quadruple taillights, and dual rectangular exhaust outlets.
The 15″ Rally wheels are mounted with Firestone tires measuring 225/70. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted ventilated rotors at each corner, and the car is equipped with power steering.
The bucket seats are trimmed in red vinyl and accompanied by color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, an AM/FM stereo, lap belts, a center console, and dashboard map pockets.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilting and telescoping column and frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,600-rpm redline. A clock and an ammeter along with auxiliary gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 454ci LS5 V8 was factory-rated at 390 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque.
The engine block stamping is shown above and in a video in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. The chassis was refinished in black during the refurbishment.
The car received a Bloomington Survivor award in 1997, but was later refurbished and received NCRS Top Flight awards in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
The car is said to have been featured in the above issue of Corvette News magazine.
