This 1974 BMW 2002tii spent approximately 15 years in storage before it was acquired by the seller in 2017 and subsequently refurbished between 2019 and 2022. Work included a bare-metal repaint in Sienna Brown, reconditioning of the Tan Skai interior, an overhaul of the Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection, and installation of Euro-spec bumpers, a Kenwood CD stereo, and Bilstein, H&R, and Suspension Techniques suspension components. Powered by a 2.0-liter M10 inline-four linked to a four-speed manual transmission, the car rides on 13″ steel wheels. This 2002tii is now offered with service records and a Washington State title in the seller’s name.
The car was reportedly the subject of a glass-out, bare-metal repaint in Sienna Brown in 2022, after body repairs were performed and the front and rear marker lights were removed. Following the repaint, Euro-spec bumpers and replacement door seals were installed.
Silver-finished 13″ steel wheels are mounted with Kumho Solus tires, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. Under current ownership, a Suspension Techniques 22mm front sway bar, H&R springs, Bilstein shocks and struts, and poly bushings are stated to have been installed.
The cabin is trimmed in Tan Skai vinyl, and under current ownership, the dashboard was refurbished, the seats were repaired and re-dyed, the clock was serviced, the carpets and headliner were replaced, and a Kenwood CD stereo and speakers were installed, per the seller.
The foam-padded steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The non-working five-digit odometer shows 35k miles, and the trip meter is also non-functional. The seller notes approximately 1k miles have been covered under current ownership.
The 2.0-liter M10 inline-four features Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection and was factory-rated at 125 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. Between 2019 and 2022, the seller tells us the Kugelfischer fuel injection pump was rebuilt, the fuel injectors and warm-up regulator were serviced, the timing cover seal was replaced, and a Bosch fuel pump and an aftermarket heater valve were installed. The snorkel tube was removed under previous ownership.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
