This 1975 Yamaha RD350 was acquired by the seller in 2003, reportedly following years of storage with its original owner, and it was refurbished in 2006 with work that included overhauling the 347cc two-stroke parallel-twin along with a repaint in orange over a black frame. Modifications include high-compression shaved cylinder heads, a Moto Carrera intake manifold, Mikuni 30mm carburetors, Dyna electronic ignition, a Vanguard polished stainless-steel dual expansion-chamber exhaust system, a chrome clubman-style handlebar, a Magura radial front brake lever, Race Tech Gold Valves and springs, Red Wing Hammerhead shocks, a steering damper, and Moto Carrera rear-set foot controls. Additional features include a six-speed transmission, a front disc brake, chrome 18″ wire-spoke wheels, and a custom bump seat. This RD350 is now offered at no reserve with service records, spare parts, and a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.
The fuel tank, side covers and headlight were refinished in orange with black white graphics, and the tank was internally coated. The bike also features a custom bump seat on the stock pan, a taillight guard, a steering damper, and Moto Carrera rear-set foot controls. The passenger pegs and center stand have been removed, and a collage photo in the gallery has been provided by the seller that shows paint chips and a blemish on the stator decal.
Suspension features Race Tech Gold Valves and springs paired with Red Wing Hammerhead shocks, with both ends having been tuned for a 175-pound rider. Chrome 18″ wire-spoke wheels are mounted with 110/90 Avon tires. The front disc brake features a drilled disc and a stainless-steel braided hose, and braking is from a drum out back.
The chrome-finished clubman-style carries a Magura radial front brake lever and alloy reservoir as well as a bar-end mirror on the left. Instrumentation consists of a Nippon Seiki 120-mph speedometer, a matching tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline and an inset neutral indicator, and a central panel with additional indicators. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, 1k of which have been ridden under current ownership.
The air-cooled 347cc two-stroke parallel-twin was rebuilt in 2005 and has been fitted with high-compression shaved heads, a Moto Carrera intake manifold, Mikuni 30mm carburetors, Dyna electronic ignition, and a Vanguard polished stainless-steel dual expansion-chamber exhaust system. The silencers were recently sanded, polished, and repacked. The oil injection system has been removed and the seller runs a 30:1 mixture. The seller notes that the bike is jetted for track use with a mid-to-high-range powerband.
Power is routed to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission and a drive chain.
