This 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa was initially delivered to Haywood-Clark Porsche in Richmond, Virginia, and it was previously sold on BaT in October 2024 and again in July 2026 before it was acquired by the selling dealer. Finished in Guards Red over black leather, the car is powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a 915 five-speed manual transaxle. It has been modified with a MOMO steering wheel, Rennline 911R-style LED taillights, a Numeric Racing short shifter and pedals, adjustable Koni dampers, revised torsion bars, and an Alpine CD stereo. Further equipment includes disc brakes, 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a front spoiler, a removable Targa roof panel, a power-adjustable driver seat, air conditioning, and power windows. This Carrera Targa shows 169k miles and is offered by the selling dealer in Illinois with a clean Carfax report and a Wisconsin title.
The car was finished in Guards Red (L027) from the factory and was refinished under previous ownership. Rennline 911R-style LED taillights were installed in 2026, and exterior details include a front lip spoiler, fog lights, H4 headlights, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, a removable Targa roof panel, and a single exhaust outlet. The Targa panel was recovered under previous ownership in 2026. Additional photos of the paint and trim condition are viewable in the gallery below.
The 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels with black centers and anodized lips are mounted with staggered-width General G-Max RS tires. The suspension is modified with Turbo tie rods, 22mm front and 28mm rear torsion bars, and adjustable Koni Sport dampers. The front brake calipers were replaced in 2019, along with the pads and rotors at all four corners. The brake fluid was most recently flushed in 2024.
The front bucket seats and folding individual rear seats are trimmed in black leather. A Numeric Racing short shifter and pedal set have been added, and appointments include a power-adjustable driver seat, air conditioning, power windows, and an Alpine stereo linked to aftermarket speakers. A previously installed bolt-in roll bar was removed, and the rear speaker grilles were replaced in 2026. The cruise control does not work, a crack is noted on the left upper door panel trim, and the leather is worn in front of the driver’s seat controls.
The three-spoke MOMO steering wheel features a red centering stripe and frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 169k miles.
The 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six was factory rated at 207 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. The oil return tubes are said to have been replaced in 2021, and the air conditioning system was reportedly overhauled under previous ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. The flywheel and clutch were replaced, and the transaxle was rebuilt in 2001.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage from the initial entry in September 1992.
The Wisconsin title lists an “Exempt” odometer notation.
