This 1986 Volkswagen Beetle is one of 3,150 “Jubiläumskäfer 50 Jahre” cars produced for the European market at the factory in Puebla, Mexico, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Volkswagen Beetle. It spent time in Sienna, Italy, and was imported to the US in 2022 before the seller’s acquisition in 2024. Finished in Pewter Grey Metallic over gray and striped upholstery, it is powered by an air-cooled 1.2-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a Solex carburetor, a torsion bar suspension, drum brakes, 15″ Lemmerz steel wheels, chrome bumpers, a cabin heater, and crank windows. The battery and tires were replaced under current ownership. This 50 Year Jubilee Edition Beetle shows 2,700 kilometers (~1,700 miles) and is offered with a clean US Carfax report and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
All 50 Year Jubilee Editions were finished in Pewter Grey Metallic. Exterior details include chrome bumpers, bumper-mounted front turn signals, amber side markers, a driver-side mirror, quarter vent windows, and bright trim. Badges on the left-front quarter panel and decklid are missing.
Silver-finished 15″ Lemmerz Sport steel wheels were mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires in 2024. The car rides on a front and rear torsion bar suspension, and braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The front bucket seats and folding rear bench are trimmed in gray vinyl with gray and red striped cloth seating surfaces and off-white piping. Gray carpets line the floors, and additional appointments include a cabin heater, black floor mats, and crank windows.
The four-spoke sport steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer with an inset fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 2,700 kilometers (~1,700 miles).
The air-cooled 1.2-liter flat-four was factory rated at 34 horsepower and features a single Solex carburetor. The battery was replaced in 2024.

The Volkswagen Classic Parts Certificate lists factory colors, optional equipment, delivery to Verona, Italy, and a build date of December 9, 1985.
