This 1993 Porsche 911 RS America is one of 701 examples produced during a two-year production run and was relocated to and from Germany before it was sold to the previous owner on BaT in June 2022. Work in preparation for that sale included installing Bilstein coilovers, Elephant Racing suspension components, and a Fister muffler as well as servicing the braking system and replacing the tires, brake pads, clutch and ignition components, and more. Service following the selling dealer’s 2026 acquisition has involved changing the oil, replacing ignition components, and tending to exterior details. Finished in Grand Prix White over black cloth upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six linked to a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. It also has 17″ Cup wheels, a fixed rear spoiler, power-height-adjustable front sport seats, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. Now showing 31k miles, this 964 RS America is offered at no reserve with owner’s manuals, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.

The RS America was a lightweight derivative of the contemporary Carrera 2 and is distinguished from the base car by a revised fixed rear spoiler as well as RS scripts on the decklid and quarter panels. This no-sunroof example is finished in Grand Prix White (908) and features rolled front fenders, manually adjustable aero mirrors, and front fog lights. The front bumper cover was repainted under prior ownership, and paint correction and front-end touch-ups were carried out in 2026. Additionally, the front bumper, front spoiler, and door seals were re-secured.

Refinished staggered-width 17″ Cup wheels are mounted over 7mm spacers up front and 15mm spacers out back and were fitted with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires in 2022. Suspension modifications include Bilstein PSS10 coilovers along with Elephant Racing adjustable front sway-bar end links, rear monoball spring plates, and a steering-rack reinforcement kit. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs, and the system features stainless-steel lines and replacement pads installed in 2022.

The power-height-adjustable sport seats are upholstered in black cloth and are accompanied by a color-matching dashboard, lightweight door panels, and carpets. Additional appointments include cloth door-pull straps, red seatbelts, power windows, and a Blaupunkt Cheyenne cassette stereo. RS Americas were also equipped with a luggage shelf and enclosed storage compartments in place of the rear seats, and a lighting door switch and the rear carpeting on this example were replaced in 2022. A patch has been applied near the rear edge of the headliner.

The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil pressure, temperature, and level along with fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership. Replacement gauge-face overlays were applied in 2022.

The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six was factory rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque, and solid engine and transmission mounts are in place. An engine-out service in 2022 at Leading Edge Autosport of West Chester, Pennsylvania, included powder-coating the cooling fan as well as replacing the following components:

  • Spark plugs and ignition wires
  • Air guide
  • Heater pipe, air ducts, and crossover pipe
  • Heater-control valve
  • Blower motor and fan
  • Hood and decklid struts
  • Decklid insulation pad

In preparation for the sale, the oil was changed and the spark plugs and the distributor caps and rotors were replaced. The associated invoice, viewable in the gallery, notes cylinder-compression measurements taken at that time.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Work in 2022 included installing a Golden Rod shifter arm and a Fister-modified muffler in addition to replacing the clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing, slave cylinder, and hose. In 2026, replacement plugs were fitted into floor-pan holes, and undercoating was applied.

Decoding the options sticker reveals the following information:

  • L908 – Grand Prix White paint
  • XZ – Black interior w/black belts and door straps
  • C02 – Version for US
  • 220 – Limited-slip differential
  • 718 – Equipped with the next model year VIN (the car is older than the VIN shows)

The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries.
