This 1996 Acura NSX-T was sold new from Ed Napleton Acura of Elmhurst, Illinois, and is said to have remained in the care of its original owner until it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2026. Service since that time involved replacing the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, oxygen sensors, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, ignition coils, and brake pads. Power comes from a 3.0-liter VTEC V6 linked to a five-speed manual transaxle with revised gears and a limited-slip differential, and the car is finished in Formula Red over Onyx leather. It rides on staggered-diameter 17″ and 18″ SSR Integral GT1 alloy wheels and is further equipped with Brembo brake calipers, a removable body-color roof panel, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, and a Comptech USA exhaust system. This NSX-T shows 80k miles and is now offered by the selling dealer—a BaT Local Partner—with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, historical photos, magazines, a die-cast model, partial service records, a Carfax report, and a Wisconsin title.
The NSX featured aluminum bodywork, and this example is finished in Formula Red with a body-color removable roof panel. Features include pop-up headlights, an integrated rear wing, side air intakes, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. Chips in the windshield were filled in preparation for the sale. A damage entry is noted on the Carfax report in April 2025, and the selling dealer tells us that this was the result of a deer strike and that the hood and right fender were repaired and repainted as a result of the accident. A photo taken prior to the repair is shown in the gallery.
The 17″ and 18″ SSR Integral GT1 alloy wheels are mounted with 215/45 front and 265/35 rear BFGoodrich g-Force Phantom T/A tires with a mixture of 2023, 2024, and 2025 date codes. The car features a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, and the four-wheel disc brakes have been fitted with red Brembo calipers over two-piece cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The front and rear brake pads were replaced in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in Onyx leather, and a K40 radar detector has been installed. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and a cassette stereo. The stainless-steel door sill plates are stamped with the car’s serial number.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8,000-rpm redline alongside a 188-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 features VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. Service in preparation for the sale involved changing the fluids and replacing the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, oxygen sensors, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, and ignition coils. The seller notes that a Comptech airbox and headers have been fitted.
The five-speed manual transaxle was retrofitted with a short-gear set and a revised ring and pinion in June 2000, at which time a Comptech USA exhaust system was installed.
The window sticker lists factory equipment, colors, and a total vehicle price of $84,225. Manufacturer’s literature, historical photos, magazines, a die-cast model, and partial service records will also accompany the vehicle.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage.
