This 1997 AM General Hummer is one of 1,209 civilian models produced for the model year, and it was initially registered in Canada. The truck wears a two-tone metallic gray vinyl wrap over a custom-upholstered tan leather interior, and it features a revised sound system that includes miniDSP, Alpine, and Focal components as well as a Kenwood infotainment screen head unit. Power is from a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and other equipment includes a torque-biasing rear differential, aftermarket 17″ Black Rhino wheels, a receiver hitch, a brush guard, driveline protection guards, high-back bucket seats, remote keyless entry, power windows, and air conditioning. The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for battery voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 99k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The turbocharged 6.5-liter Detroit Diesel V8 was factory rated at 195 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The batteries were replaced under current ownership and an oil change was performed in August 2026.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a Zexel Torsen II torque-biasing rear differential. The truck is fitted with optional driveline protection guards. The transmission and transfer case fluids were changed in May 2024.
