This 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL500 was first registered in Michigan, has been registered in California since 2001, and was purchased by the seller in 2024. Finished in Glacier White over Ash Nappa leather, the car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with a removable body-color hardtop, a black soft top, chromed 17″ Albali wheels, fog lights, a headlight-cleaning system, power-adjustable seats, a Bose sound system, a Continental Bluetooth stereo, walnut trim, and automatic climate control. This R129 is offered at no reserve with owner’s manuals, service records, a hardtop stand, a front license-plate mount, a car cover, a damage-free Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Glacier White (143) and features a matching removable hardtop and a replacement black soft top fitted in 2024, along with replacement hydraulic cylinders. Other exterior details include headlight wipers and washers, fog lights, tinted windows, and fender air vents. Photos showing blemished and touched-up paint are provided in the gallery below.
Chrome-plated 17″ Albali wheels were fitted with 245/45 Yokohama Avid Ascend GT tires in 2024. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with ABS.
The power-adjustable seats are upholstered in Ash Nappa leather, and burl walnut trim accents the interior. Additional appointments include automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, and a Continental digital-media stereo with Bluetooth, as well as seat-position memory, cruise control, and a deployable roll bar. The air-conditioning system was recharged in 2025 after the valve cores were replaced, and it was recharged the following year. Discolored carpet and worn door panels are depicted in the gallery.
The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, fuel economy, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 55k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. A November 2001 entry on the Carfax report points out a mileage inconsistency that may be a clerical error.
The 5.0-liter M113 V8 was factory rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Service in 2025 included replacing the battery, fuel-filler cap, fuel-level sensor, and the purge valve and lines. The oil was most recently changed in September 2026.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.
Owner’s manuals will accompany the vehicle, as will the records and accessories shown in the gallery.
The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries, while noting the aforementioned mileage inconsistency.
The vehicle passed its most recent California emissions inspection in April 2026.
