This 2000 Ford Mustang Saleen S281 convertible is powered by a supercharged 4.6-liter V8 linked with a six-speed manual transmission, and it has 2,600 miles. The car is finished in Laser Red over Dark Charcoal leather, and it is equipped with a black convertible top, a rear spoiler, 18″ Saleen five-spoke wheels, a Mach 460 sound system, an in-dash six-disc CD player, cruise control, and air conditioning. This New Edge Saleen is now offered in Texas by the selling dealer with a Saleen window sticker, a spare set of Pirelli tires, a damage-free Carfax report, and a Tennessee title.

The car is finished in Laser Red (E9) with silver bodyside stripes, and exterior details include a power-retractable black convertible top, a rear spoiler, power-adjustable side mirrors, and a Saleen-specific hood scoop, side skirts, and louvered side scoops.

The car was factory equipped with a MacPherson front suspension with Saleen Racecraft struts as well as a live rear axle, front and rear stabilizer bars, and variable-rate springs on lower control arms. Braking is provided by 10.8″ front and 10.5″ rear discs. Chrome-finished 18″ Saleen five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with older Pirelli tires, and a spare set of Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3 tires is included in the sale.

The bolstered bucket seats are upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather, and interior appointments include a Mach 460 sound system, an in-dash six-disc CD player, cruise control, a rear-window defroster, air conditioning, and a Saleen serialized console plaque.

The steering wheel frames Saleen instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure, while readouts for the intercooler and boost pressure are affixed to the dashboard. The digital odometer indicates 2,600 miles.

The supercharged and intercooled 4.6-liter SOHC V8 is equipped with a Saleen Roots-style supercharger and was rated at 350 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque when new.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Saleen Quick-Ratio six-speed manual transmission.

The Saleen window sticker lists factory colors, options, and a Saleen MSRP of $44,855.

The Carfax report is free from accidents or other damage, and it lists at least one open recall.

The Tennessee title lists “Actual Mileage” under the Remarks section.
