This 1992 Land Rover Defender 110 is a left-hand-drive five-door wagon that was purchased and imported to the US in 2022 and was subsequently restored and modified. Finished in Anvil Blue over black and beige leather, the truck is powered by a 2.8-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel inline-four linked to an R380 five-speed manual transmission, an LT230 dual-range transfer case, a locking center differential, and oversized drive shafts. The truck was purchased by the seller on BaT in May 2025, and approximately $40k worth of work was performed. It includes a turbocharger upgrade, as well as the installation of interior and exhaust heat shielding, an aluminum radiator and intercooler, a custom exhaust system, rock sliders, a raised air intake, an alarm system, automatic door locks, and a Boss Elite infotainment screen. The door panels were re-trimmed, and further details include a revised climate control system, seven-passenger seating, tubular steel bumpers, 18″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, and an Old Man Emu suspension kit. This Defender 110 is now offered in California at no reserve with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC.
The truck was refinished in Anvil Blue with a matching roof and wheel arch extensions. Exterior details include Masai front bash plates, black-finished tubular steel bumpers, LED auxiliary lighting, an SVX-style grille, an aftermarket hood, cowl vents, dual side mirrors, Molly rock sliders, a raised air intake, Alpine windows, and a receiver hitch. The wheel arch extensions were refinished, and stainless-steel door hinges were installed in June 2025. There is a ding and two scratches on the driver’s door. Detailed photos of additional imperfections have been provided in the gallery.
Black-finished 18″ Sawtooth-style alloy wheels are mounted with Goodyear Wrangler tires, and a matching spare is affixed to the reinforced Masai heavy-duty swing-out carrier at the rear. The suspension is modified with Old Man Emu components, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs. The front brakes were overhauled, and the parking brake cable was replaced in 2023. The brake fluid was replaced in June 2025.
The bolstered front sport seats, split-folding second-row bench, and fold-away individual rear seats are upholstered in black and beige leather. Sound insulation was applied to the roof and floors under previous ownership, and additional heat insulation was added to the floors, and replacement carpeting was installed in June 2025. The door panels were re-covered at the same time. Appointments include revised heating and air conditioning systems, a center console, crank windows, billet aluminum knobs for the shifter and transfer case gear levers, a rearview camera, and a Boss Elite infotainment screen with smartphone integration. The air conditioning system was serviced in January 2026, and an alarm system and automatic door locks were installed under current ownership. The shifter rattles at higher engine speeds, there is frayed leather on the center console, and a scratch on the upholstery on one of the rear seats.
The two-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a replacement steering column. The Puma-style dashboard houses Speedhut instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer with an inset fuel-level gauge as well as a tachometer and gauges for voltage and coolant temperature. An analog clock, a boost gauge, and a configurable digital display are mounted in the center stack. The digital odometer indicates 8k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer needle will intermittently jump, and there is a crack in the steering wheel.
The 2.8L 300Tdi inline-four was sourced from Motor & Diesel Engineering in Cambridge, England, and was retrofitted in 2022. The starter was replaced in 2024. In June 2025, upgraded turbochargers were installed, along with an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, an aluminum intercooler, and a remote oil cooler. The fuel injectors were resealed, and the exhaust system was also replaced, and heat shielding material was added.
Power is routed to all four wheels through a heavy-duty short-bell housing R380 five-speed manual transmission and an LT230 dual-range transfer case with a locking center differential and heavy-duty cross pins as well as oversized front and rear drive shafts. The current fifth gear ratio is 0.732. The differential flange was replaced, a steel cover was added to the rear differential, and the transmission and clutch were serviced in June 2025. The front differential gasket and fluid were replaced in January 2026.
The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists production information and colors as well as a build date of May 1, 1992, and delivery to Land Rover Espania SLU, in Spain.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other damage from the single entry in September 2022.
The vehicle was inspected by the California Air Resources Board in 2022 before the installation of the replacement 300Tdi motor. The truck passed a California emissions test in January 2026.
