Even just a few decades ago, many people would have found it unthinkable that most of us rely on computers for our day-to-day lives. Yet here we are, and almost everybody is carrying a small device in their pocket or bag that a huge proportion of their life centers around. We are reliant on this technological advancement, and there is no concrete evidence that this is going to change in the near future.
Sure, our attention spans may be fried, we're increasingly illiterate, and the powers that be have a very convenient way of monitoring us, but we are in a time that is more convenient and entertaining than ever thanks to the wonders of technology and the people who create and maintain it. It is the reason that we can enjoy the phenomenon that is memes, and that alone makes the many horrors worth it. They would still be there in a different form if the internet didn't exist anyway.
You don't have to be a coding nerd to appreciate memes that make a joke out of the quirks and foibles of tech, but perhaps it helps in some cases. Nonetheless, it is always funny to take a humorous perspective on this thing that we all use every day for both work and pleasure. The AI overlords aren't quite powerful enough to punish us for this kind of thing yet.
