Gubernatorial candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in the 2027 general elections in Oyo State, Abimbola Adekanmbi, has challenged his All Progressives Congress, APC, counterpart, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, to publicly present the list of his achievements at the National Assembly.

Adekanmbi made the call in a statement signed by the Co-Director, Media and Publicity, Oyo State APM Campaign Council, OYSACC, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

The statement was made available to DAILY POST on Saturday.

Adekanmbi, in the statement, claimed that Alli performed below expectations at the National Assembly and that public office holders like him, who are seeking higher responsibilities, must first demonstrate excellence in their current assignments.

He noted that leadership progression should be driven by performance and not political longevity, adding that the people of the state will not reward Alli's incompetence at the National Assembly with an elevation to Agodi Government House.

The APM candidate said the seat should not be awarded on the basis of political history but earned through proven competence.

He challenged Alli to publicly present a comprehensive list of his achievements in the Senate.

Adekanmbi said, "The people of Oyo State deserve leaders who can defend their ambitions with verifiable achievements, not politicians who expect past titles to substitute for present performance."
