When you need a little break from the internet, who better to bring us peace than a bunch of adorable cats doing what they do best?

We get it: the internet can be a loud place sometimes. Between the news and so many other things, it's easy to get caught up in the bad side of things and forget to feel good and stay in tune with the present moment. And there's nobody to blame for this: consuming good things online is a habit we all need to build, especially those of us who spend most of the day in front of a computer, like me.

Of course, the best way to stop spiraling into bad thoughts is to get outside and connect with the real world. Turn off your devices and spend good, high-quality time with your friends and family, but after you've done that and want some good internet content, watching cat videos or scrolling through cat memes can have a positive effect.

No, I'm not making this up to keep you on this story: a study proved it. Indiana University conducted a study with 7000 participants and found that watching wholesome cat content can have a positive effect and make people feel happy. So yeah, scrolling through some good cat memes can be therapeutic; who would have thought?
