This 2014 Ducati 1199 Superleggera is #012 of 500 produced, was acquired by the current owner on BaT in June 2024, and its odometer now displays 26 miles. The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled 1,198cc Superquadro L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission, and is finished in Corse Red with white accents. Equipment includes a magnesium monocoque frame with a carbon-fiber subframe and bodywork, an Akrapovič titanium race-kit exhaust system, an Öhlins steering damper, Marchesini Racing magnesium wheels, triple Brembo disc brakes, adjustable Öhlins suspension, and a TFT dashboard with a suite of electronic control systems. This 1199 Superleggera is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a race-kit storage box, a high racing windscreen, manufacturer’s literature, a dust cover, a battery maintainer, passenger foot peg assemblies, and both front and rear paddock stands, and a clean Iowa title in the owner’s name.
The bike wears fully-faired carbon-fiber bodywork and an aluminum fuel tank, all finished in Corse Red with white accents and script. Details include a magnesium monocoque frame with a carbon-fiber rear subframe, a clear windscreen, machined mirror block-off plates, a black Alcantara solo seat with a rear bump pad, and a black-finished aluminum side stand.
The forged magnesium 17″ wheels are made by Marchesini Racing, finished in bronze, and wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires that are not known to have been replaced. Adjustable Öhlins suspension consists of a 43mm FL916 inverted fork with titanium nitride-coated stanchions as well as a TTX36 titanium-spring piggyback monoshock connected to the aluminum single-sided swingarm via adjustable linkage.
The bike is equipped with Bosch 9ME ABS, and stopping power is provided by dual 330mm discs with radially mounted Brembo M50 four-piston calipers up front as well as a 245mm disc with a Brembo two-piston caliper at the rear.
Clip-on handlebars secured beneath the upper triple clamp carry black grips, levers, and controls, and an adjustable Öhlins piston-style steering damper is secured ahead of the upper triple clamp.
A color TFT screen displays a digital speedometer, an arcing bar-style tachometer, a coolant-temperature gauge, and a gear indicator along with indicator lamps for ABS, neutral gear selection, oil pressure, and side stand position. Also provided are readouts for a suite of onboard electronics that include riding modes, adjustable ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and Engine Brake Control (EBC) as well as a GPS-enabled Ducati Data Analysis+ (DDA+) system which records and displays vehicle lean angles. The digital odometer indicates 26 miles, 12 of which were added under current ownership.
The upper triple clamp is laser-inscribed with the model name and production numbers.
The liquid-cooled 1,198cc Superquadro L-twin was factory rated at 203 horsepower and features chain-driven double-overhead camshafts, four titanium desmodromic valves per cylinder, titanium connecting rods, two-ring pistons, a ride-by-wire throttle, and Mitsubishi electronic fuel injection as well as a titanium and carbon-fiber Akrapovič race-kit exhaust system. The battery was replaced, and the oil was changed in 2024 under prior ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a wet slipper clutch, a six-speed transmission equipped with DQS, and a World-Superbike-spec 520 drive chain rolling on an Ergal rear sprocket.
The bike is accompanied by a black race-kit storage box designed to hold the installed Akrapovič race exhaust system, a high racing windscreen, manufacturer’s literature, a battery maintainer, and uninstalled passenger foot peg assemblies.
A dust cover with Ducati and 1199 Superleggera script are also included in the sale, as are front and rear paddock stands.
