This 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is said to have been acquired by one of the seller’s family members in 1997 and was subsequently refurbished in 2000. It was later placed in long-term storage before being recommissioned in 2022 with work that is noted to have included replacing the starter, battery, drive belt, spark plugs, ignition wires, tires, clutch master and slave cylinders, and the brake booster, master cylinder, and front pads. Finished in silver over black upholstery, the truck is powered by a 3.9-liter inline-six linked with a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment includes 15″ wheels, manually locking front hubs, a roof rack, a winch, a swing-away spare tire carrier, a locking center console, and a roll bar. Acquired by the seller in 2025, this FJ40 is now offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The truck was repainted silver as part of the aforementioned refurbishment in 2000 and has areas of rust, cracked paint, dings, and other imperfections. Details include a winch, a roof rack, tubular bumpers, rear wheel arch flares, and a removable hardtop. The seller tells us that the headlight wiring is damaged.

White 15″ wagon-style wheels are wrapped in 31×10.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, and a spare is affixed to the swing-away rear carrier. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, and the seller tells us that work since 2022 has included replacing the brake booster, master cylinder, and front pads.

High-back bucket seats trimmed in black leather have been retrofitted, and bedliner material has been applied to the floorboards. A locking Tuffy center console, a roll bar, and wind-up windows are further elements. The heater and aftermarket air conditioning system do not work, and the headliner has been removed.

Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. The seller tells us that the speedometer will not indicate speeds above 20 mph. The five-digit odometer does not work and shows 94k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The 3.9-liter F inline-six features a single carburetor. Service in March 2022 is said to have involved replacing the starter, battery, spark plugs, and ignition wires, and the drive belt and a fuel hose are noted to have been replaced in June 2026.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The clutch master and slave cylinders are noted to have been replaced in March 2022.
