This 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser Collector’s Edition spent 23 years in Virginia, was sold on BaT in September 2021 and again in October 2023, and was acquired by the seller in 2025. Finished in Dark Emerald Pearl over Oak leather, it is powered by a 4.5-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed automatic transmission, a two-speed transfer case, and locking front, center, and rear differentials. Modifications include an Old Man Emu suspension lift, a Delta rear Panhard lift bracket, Dobinsons rear control arms, Milestar Patagonia M/T tires, an ARB front bumper, a Warn winch, LED auxiliary lighting, rock sliders, a Prinsu roof rack, a 4x4Labs rear bumper, front and rear cameras, and an Alpine touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay linked to a custom sound system. The front wheel bearings were replaced under current ownership. This FZJ80 shows 294k miles and is offered with service records, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Dark Emerald Pearl with gray trim. Exterior details include an ARB front bumper, a Warn winch, a Factor 55 UltraHook, LED auxiliary lighting, rock sliders, a Prinsu roof rack, a glass sunroof, and a 4×4 Labs rear bumper with dual swing-out carriers. The Carfax report indicates that damage to the left front of the vehicle resulted from an incident in June 2006. The key does not work in the passenger door cylinder.
Black-powdercoated 16″ alloy wheels are mounted with Milestar Patagonia M/T tires. The suspension is modified with an Old Man Emu 3″ lift, joined by a Delta Vehicle Systems rear Panhard lift bracket, and Dobinsons rear upper and lower control arms. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with ABS, and the parking brake is inoperative. The front wheel bearings were replaced under current ownership.
The power-adjustable front seats and split-folding rear bench are upholstered in Oak leather. Aftermarket sound insulation was applied to the doors, rear quarter panels, and tailgate under previous ownership, and additional appointments include automatic climate control, power windows, front and rear cameras, and an Alpine touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay linked to Pioneer speakers and a compact subwoofer mounted under the passenger seat. The third-row seats and rear heating system have been removed.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel is worn and frames a column-mounted ScanGauge OBDII reader, a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 294k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The bulb for the “D” position of the gear indicator requires replacement.
The 4.5L 1FZ-FE inline-six was factory rated at 212 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. The engine is said to consume about one quart of oil per 1,000 miles driven, and the truck most recently passed a California emissions test in March 2025.
Power is routed to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and locking front, center, and rear differentials. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.
The Carfax report notes the aforementioned damage report in June 2006.
