The album will be the singer’s first in six years, following the release of his eighth studio album ‘Warriors’ in 2020.

2Baba has been teasing the album for a while, using its title in his Instagram captions.

In August, he wrote on his Instagram page: “I’ve lived it, I’ve seen it, I’m still here. My new album, Oldest Young Man, soon come”. On his birthday, he also described himself as “forever the oldest young man”.

The singer first rose to fame in the 1990s, composing jingles before co-founding the iconic group Plantashun Boiz with Blackface and Faze in 1996.

Since then, he has cemented his status as one of Afropop’s pioneers, influencing generations of artistes.

Over the years, he has released eight studio albums, beginning with his debut ‘Face 2 Face’ in 2004.

Below are 2Baba’s studio albums:

· Face 2 Face (2004)

· Grass 2 Grace (2006)

· The Unstoppable (2009)

· The Unstoppable International Edition (2010)

· Away and Beyond (2012)

· The Ascension

· Rewind, Select, Update (2015)

· Warriors (2020)

During the six-year album hiatus, however, he continued to release singles and collaborative songs, including ‘Balling’, ‘Kuku Google Am’ and, more recently, ‘Mental’ featuring Fave.
