These tweets are here. For better or for worse. Okay, it's for better. Twitter is for fiends. Notice how I said fiends and not 'friends.' It's not a place where everyone gets along, respects each others' opinions, and forges friendships. It's a place for quick, uninformed takes and gut reactions. People fiending for a quick hit of information, of humor, of outrage. It's a dark cave full of trolls and goblins and people who are probably robots. But there's also beauty in the dreck. There's hope among the mire. There are genuine bits of humor and wisdom to be found, real moments of meaning and connection. It's the wild wild west, it's outer space, it's the deep sea. Largely uncharted, and scary, but with promise of adventure and escape. There is so much of it, that' it's all to easy to get lost in it. Nobody wants to get lost in the sauce. As much as we love the sauce, we need to be guided through it by a compassionate tour guide (I will be at your service today). So come see the freak show. Hop aboard the pirate ship.
