This 1972 Ford F-250 Sport Custom Camper Special pickup was sold new in Portland, Oregon, and is said to have two previous owners. The most recent owner oversaw a rebuild of the replacement 390ci V8 as well as a refresh of the three-speed automatic transmission and brake system. The truck has been repainted in two-tone orange and white, and the bench seat was re-covered in white vinyl with orange and black plaid inserts. Features include dual fuel tanks, power steering, 16″ steel wheels, Monroe shocks, a spray-in bed liner, Junior Western-style side mirrors, a rear step bumper, and an AM/FM stereo. This bumpside F-250 is now offered by the selling dealer with a Deluxe Marti Report, the owner’s manual, manufacturer’s literature, service records, invoices, and a clean Oregon title.

The truck left the factory finished in two-tone Calypso Coral and Wimbledon White, and it was repainted under previous ownership. A piece of tape in the glovebox notes the paint codes used. Exterior details include a Styleside bed with a spray-in liner, as well as Junior Western-style mirrors, a bedside storage box, a sliding rear window, dual fuel tanks, and a rear step bumper.

The 16″ steel wheels are mounted with Ironman Radial AP tires. The truck is equipped with power steering and Monroe shocks. Braking is provided by power-assisted drums at each corner. A power steering hose, the brake master cylinder, and brake hoses, as well as the front calipers and pads, were replaced in 2024.

The bench seat was trimmed in white vinyl with orange and black plaid inserts. Interior appointments include an AM/FM stereo, lap belts, and a heater. There is a tear in the driver’s armrest, and cracks in the dash pad.

The steering wheel frames a sweeping 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. A tachometer has been installed on the steering column, and auxiliary gauges measuring coolant temperature and oil pressure are installed on the underside of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 83k miles, and the selling dealer believes that it has not rolled over.

In March 2020, the replacement 390ci V8 was disassembled, and the block was boiled and decked, the cylinders were bored and honed, the crankshaft was polished, the bearing bores were align-honed, and the engine was balanced. The pistons, rings, and the rod, main, and cam bearings were replaced. A hydraulic camshaft and lifters were installed in December 2023. The carburetor was overhauled, and the valve cover gaskets were replaced in 2023, and the timing chain, engine mounts, thermostat, and water pump were replaced in 2024. A Performance Distributors DUI distributor and LiveWire spark plug wires were installed in January 2024.

Power is routed through a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. The flexplate, torque converter shaft seal, the output shaft seal, the transmission pan, and U-bolts were replaced in 2024
