LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — Four provincial hospitals in Cebu are preparing to offer blood tests for tuberculosis (TB) infection to help identify cases early and guide preventive treatment for eligible patients. Interferon-Gamma Release Assay (IGRA) testing may soon be offered at Capitol-run hospitals in Balamban, Bogo, Carcar, and Danao through a joint initiative of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH-7).
