This 1990 GMC V1500 Suburban SLE 4×4 was modified when new by Trail Wagons of Yakima, Washington, with its Chinook Trail Boss conversion package, and has since been fitted with a modified 5.3-liter LM7 Vortec V8 and a rebuilt and uprated 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission. The truck was refinished in multi-tone red, silver, and gray in 2026, and additional work included suspension, drivetrain, cooling-system, and interior updates. Red velour lines the four captain’s chairs and folding third-row bench, and the truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, 15″ Center Line wheels, 35″ BFGoodrich tires, a 3″ suspension lift, Hella fog lights, a receiver hitch, front and rear air conditioning, and a custom audio system with an Alpine head unit and Rockford Fosgate amplifiers. The selling dealer acquired the truck in 2025 and has since added approximately 900 of the 205k miles shown. This Suburban Trail Boss is now offered at no reserve by a BaT Local Partner with factory literature and a clean Washington title.
According to the selling dealer, the body was disassembled before being refinished in a multi-tone red, silver, and gray paint scheme in 2026. The work is said to have included replacing the grille, front and rear bumpers, mirrors, headlights, marker lamps, taillamps, weatherstripping, door handles, door locks, rear cab marker lamp, tailgate handle, tailgate cables, wiper arms and blades, and bed hooks. Ceramic window tint was also installed, including on the windshield. Exterior equipment includes roof rails, swing-away mirrors, side-hinged rear cargo doors, Hella fog lights, and a receiver hitch. A custom-fit truck cover accompanies the sale.
Polished 15″ Center Line wheels are mounted with 35×12.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires installed in September 2026. The suspension has been modified with a 6″ Rough Country lift, Skyjacker rear leaf springs, Bilstein 5100 shock absorbers, Offroad Design heavy-duty shackles, and an Offroad Design one-inch zero-rate rear add-a-leaf. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs and power steering. Service performed in December 2025 included replacement of the ball joints, front wheel bearings, brakes, and drag link, per the selling dealer.
The four captain’s chairs and folding third-row bench were upholstered in red velour, the carpet was replaced, and the headliner was retrimmed in color-coordinated houndstooth fabric. Interior appointments include front and rear air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and door locks, and wood trim accents. An Alpine Bluetooth-capable head unit is connected to Rockford Fosgate amplifiers, Morel front speakers, Polk rear speakers, and dual Alpine Type R 12″ subwoofers using KnuKonceptz wiring. The driver window motor was replaced in preparation for the sale.
The tilting steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 205k miles, approximately 900 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter LM7 Vortec V8 was disassembled, inspected, cleaned, and refreshed before its 2024 installation, per the selling dealer. Additional components reportedly include:

Work in December 2025 is said to have included replacement of the radiator, water pump, and heater core.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission rebuilt by Metro Transmission. According to the selling dealer, the transmission features a 2,600-rpm stall converter and is coupled to the factory NP241 transfer case using the factory driveshafts. Additional components include a Derale transmission cooler and AN-6 cooler lines.
