The outlet is never where you need it. It's not up in the ceiling where an access point should sit. It's not behind the wall panel you want to mount flush, or out under the eave where a camera would watch the driveway. Running a new circuit to any of those spots means an electrician, drywall repair, or both. There's a cleaner route.
