This 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Aero Coupe is one of approximately 6,050 Aero Coupe examples built for the 1987 model year, and it now has 752 miles. The car was purchased by the selling dealer in 2018 and is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. It is finished in Black over Maroon cloth and features SS-specific bodywork and graphics, an Aero Coupe semi-fastback rear window, removable roof panels, a rear spoiler, 15″ wheels, an F41 sport suspension, power steering, a cassette stereo, power windows and locks, cruise control, air conditioning, and front bucket seats. This Monte Carlo SS Aero Coupe is now offered with the owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Massachusetts title.
The Aero Coupe version of the Monte Carlo SS debuted for the 1986 model year in order to homologate aerodynamic changes for use in NASCAR competition. Compared with the standard body, the Aero Coupe features a sloped rear window, a shortened trunk lid, and a flatter trunk lip spoiler. This car is finished in Black, and equipment includes SS-specific front and rear fascias, body-color side mirrors, “Monte Carlo SS” decals, removable roof panels, a rear spoiler, quad headlights, and dual exhaust outlets. The sway bar links were replaced in 2026, per the selling dealer.
The interior is trimmed in Maroon cloth and features bolstered front bucket seats and a rear bench as well as color-coordinated door panels. Amenities include a center console, a locking glovebox, a cassette stereo, power windows and locks, cruise control, and air conditioning.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 752 miles.
The 5.0-liter High Output V8 was equipped from the factory with a Rochester Quadra-Jet four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 180 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed, and the battery was replaced in 2026.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Undercoating has been applied to various portions of the underbody.
