This 1999 Daihatsu Hijet is a right-hand-drive bucket truck that was purchased in Japan by the selling dealer and was imported to the US in 2026. Finished in white over gray patterned cloth, the truck is powered by a 659cc EF-SE inline-three linked with a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a four-wheel-drive system. Equipment includes a PTO-driven hydraulic boom lift as well as electronic fuel injection, front disc brakes, 13″ steel wheels, arear cargo box, air conditioning, crank windows, and a cassette radio. This Hijet bucket truck shows 75k kilometers (~46k miles) and is offered at no reserve by the selling dealer with a clean North Carolina title.
The body has been repainted in white and features a color-matched rear cargo box with sliding side doors, windows, and a rear liftgate. Corrosion is noted at the base of the windshield, and close-up photos of scratches and blemishes in the paint are presented in the gallery.
The truck features a PTO-driven hydraulic boom lift and stabilizer legs. The boom can be operated through controls in the bucket or a control panel at the rear.
Silver-finished 13″ steel wheels were recently mounted with Practiva tires. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums.
The bucket seats are trimmed in patterned gray cloth. Appointments include air conditioning, a control lever for the power take-off system, crank windows, and a cassette radio.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-km/h speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 75k kilometers (~46k miles), approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.
The 659cc EF-SE inline-three was factory rated at 43 horsepower and 44 lb-ft of torque and features electronic fuel injection. Service in preparation for the sale reportedly consisted of changing the oil, flushing the coolant, recharging the air conditioning refrigerant, and replacing the battery, water pump, thermostat, and accessory drive belts. A decal in the gallery notes that the timing belt was most recently replaced in April 2017.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.
