Abbott Elementary has dropped the teaser trailer and poster for Season 6, offering some major moments that the show has in store. The hit mockumentary sitcom enters its new season following an impressive award run, securing seven nominations at the 2026 Emmy Awards.
Abbott Elementary Season 6 premieres on ABC on Wednesday, October 7, at 8:30 pm ET / 5:30 pm. PT. Fans can also stream the episodes the following day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
Created by Quinta Brunson, Abbott Elementary is returning with all the beloved teachers of the fictional West Philadelphia. The trailer for Season 6 includes a montage of some of the most hilarious and exciting moments from the upcoming installment.

The trailer for Abbott Elementary Season 6 opens with Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome To The Jungle,” playing in the background as the teachers return for another year at the school.
In one scene, Tyler James Williams’s Gregory announces, “I got bumped up to assistant principal.” Meanwhile, Janelle James’ Ava gleefully declares, “It’s gonna be the best year yet.” The teaser showcases a series of vignettes featuring all the major characters and their shenanigans.

The previous season already saw the Abbott Elementary staff tackle a slew of challenges. With Janine and Gregory back together and the latter’s promotion, Season 6 has more adventures and silly antics in store.
In addition to Brunson, Williams, and James, the returning cast also includes Sheryl Lee Ralph, William Stanford Davis, Chris Perfetti, and Lisa Ann Walter.
Season 6 of the show arrives after Abbott Elementary received seven nominations at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series. The show had previously won four Emmy Awards in the comedy series categories, including Lead Actress for Brunson and Supporting Actress for Ralph. The show has also won three Golden Globe Awards, among other coveted accolades.
