ACMobility has officially launched its first Electric Vehicle Charging Hub in Bohol. The charging station is located at the new Kia dealership in Tagbilaran City and provides two 7kW AC chargers accessible to the public through the Evro app.
While the chargers are located at a Kia dealership, charging isn’t limited to Kia owners. ACMobility says the charging hub will help make EV ownership, regardless of the brand, more accessible for motorists in Bohol, adding that this first installation will pave the way for more charging stations to open on the island soon.

Mayor Jane Yap of Tagbilaran City says the new EV Charging Hub will boost tourism in Bohol, which has been designated as the country’s first UNESCO Global Geopark. She adds that it also gives both locals and visitors the confidence to drive EVs on the island, encouraging more travel and inviting investors to come to Bohol.

“The island province of Bohol is an important connector within the Philippine EV Spine,” said ACMobility head of mobility infrastructure Carla Buencamino. “With the opening of our first charging station on the island, coupled with the new dealership of our partner brand Kia, we are making electric mobility more accessible for residents and visitors in Bohol while supporting the growth of the local economy.”
“By putting up the island’s first EV charging station located in Kia Bohol, we open up the possibility of people owning EVs because they no longer need to worry about where to charge their vehicles,” said Kia Philippines dealer principal Louise Camille Lumapas. “Regardless of whether fuel prices are high or not, the important thing is that there is freedom of choice because there is availability.”
“This is a proud moment for Tagbilaran and for the whole island of Bohol. Having the first EV charging station here shows that Bohol is ready to move with the times while protecting what makes our island special,” said Yap, adding that the installation aligns with the city’s push to be “progressive, innovative, and environmentally responsible.”
