The Super Eagles held their first training session on Tuesday night ahead of Friday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Matchday 1 encounter against the Barea of Madagascar, DAILY POST reports.
Twenty-three players took part in the session held at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
Only the first 15 minutes was open to the media and members of the public.
Captain Wilfred Ndidi, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali and winger Samuel Chukwueze arrived in camp a few hours before the team hit the training ground.
Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye is expected to arrive at the team’s Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Ikot Ekpene base, on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles will continue their preparations with another training session on Wednesday.
