I have used Google Keep for years. My grocery list, short notes, useful links, and my muses all end up there. It has always done the job, but after seeing what other note-taking apps offer for free, I started wondering if I was missing out. So I used OneNote, Zoho Notebook, Simplenote, Obsidian, and Joplin, but ignored Evernote and similar apps that charge a premium for full functionality or sometimes basic features.
