Radio still exists, so there are definitely people out there listening to different stations and shows. I haven't listened to the radio in a long time, but I remember I loved it when I was younger. Every time I had to do chores or something around the house, my mom and I turned on the radio and waited for our favourite songs to pop up. I never mastered the courage to call and request a song; I simply waited for them to play it.
There are two kinds of people who listen to the radio: people who prefer FM and those who listen to AM. My mom and I are the first kind. My dad is the second. When my mom and I are together around the house, we just turn on the radio and listen to music. It helps us relax and have a good time, even if we're doing something boring. Besides, we love to sing, so our next-door neighbors have had their fair share of private concerts for years now. They must be sick of us by now, but they're too polite to say anything.
With my dad, there's a whole different story. He gets up in the morning and turns on the AM radio, so there we all are, half asleep, getting breakfast and mastering the courage to leave the house, while some faceless guy talks to us and tells us the weather forecast. If there's one thing that I dislike profoundly, it's having random people talking to me the minute I get up. No, no, mornings are silent times, so the loud voices of people talking about an endless list of things that I don't care about at all, it's a little annoying. Seriously, morning people out there, please let me know: why do you like having people talk to you so early? It's enough to hear people talking throughout the day; is it necessary to hear them at home as well? Those are the questions that haunt me, an introverted night-owl.
While I wait for AM listeners to tell me all about why they like to hear people talking, here I have a list of memes for you all!
