By Thursday, I understand why cats knock things off tables. We've spent almost a full week behaving ourselves, so eventually, pushing a bottle over the edge of the counter starts looking tempting.

Friday is within a paw's reach. It is close enough that I'm already making weekend plans, which mostly involve first cancelling the ambitious plans I made on Monday. I don't have much energy left. I was going to clean the apartment, run errands, and become the kind of person who gets things done before noon. Well… Not this time. Not this weekend. Not this month. I would like to sit somewhere comfortable and remain there, staring at the ceiling and just enjoying doing nothing.

My cat would support that decision if I'm not using the seat he wants. For cats, relaxation is very important, but ownership of the couch is more important. You can have a nice, peaceful afternoon if you accept the cushion he has assigned you. You have to grin and bear it. And no, moving him is not an option. Not really. Enjoy the look he'll give you afterward.

It's almost Friday, but your cat is still feral. And he would appreciate everyone respecting the very small amount of patience he has left. So these cat memes have that level of patience for the remaining workweek. Enjoy the feline weirdness and allow yourself to take some of their silliness and be a little ridiculous today. You can be a responsible adult again later. And check if the couch is available. If not, bring treats for the negotiation. The creature with whiskers will be in a better mood for changes if treats are involved.
