Just a week after the 60th Anniversary-edition Toyota Corolla was launched for the American market, the Japanese manufacturer has released another special-edition Corolla commemorating the nameplate’s six decades of existence. This time, the launch is set for the European market with the limited-edition model made in the United Kingdom.
The compact hatchback looks similar to the 60th Anniversary package released in Japan. This one, however, dons a new Boreal Blue metallic colorway contrasting with the Eclipse Black roof and pillars. The limited-edition Corolla sits on newly designed 10-spoke 17-inch alloys finished in black and chrome.

Like the other Diamond Jubilee editions, this UK-based model features ‘60th Anniversary’ badging and decals—this model specifically has them on the rear doors and carpets. The hatchback comes with only one hybrid powertrain option, a 1.8-liter gasoline engine paired with a single permanent-magnet synchronous motor delivering 138hp with a combined fuel economy of 21.74km/L.

Other standard features are the 12.3-inch driver’s combimeter and 10.5-inch touchscreen with Toyota Smart Connect+. The manufacturer’s suite of driving assistance systems is also included, with intelligent adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, lane-trace assist, emergency-steering assist, road-sign assist, and a pre-collision system with intersection-collision avoidance.
No price has been indicated as of writing, but Toyota says that this commemorative hatchback will be offered in “strictly limited numbers.” So far, which 60th Anniversary Corolla do you like the most: the Supersonic Red US-based Corolla sedan, the bright-yellow Japan-based Corolla hatch, or this Boreal Blue European Corolla?
