Apple TV has released the official trailer for Nocturne. The upcoming crime drama television series stars Liev Schreiber.
Nocturne will make its global debut on Apple TV on Friday, October 30, 2026, with its first two episodes. The remaining eight episodes of the 10-episode season will be released weekly on Fridays through December 25, 2026.
Created by Rowan Joffé, the upcoming crime drama is based on the “Joona Linna” novels, Lazarus and The Sandman, by husband-and-wife writers Alexander Ahndoril and Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril, who use the pseudonym Lars Kepler.

What happens in Nocturne trailer?Nocturne tells the story of Jonah Lynn, played by Liev Schreiber, an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who moves to a small town in western Pennsylvania with his family after getting tired of the chaotic city life.
However, their quiet life comes under threat when the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter targets the town and Jonah’s family. It is now up to Jonah to protect his loved ones, and he even brings in his surrogate daughter FBI Agent Saga Bauer in the fight against Jurek.
Nocturne’s trailer begins with shots of Schreiber and Zazie Beetz. It then introduces viewers to the ongoing investigation into multiple murders. “As you know, this department has been working with the FBI to help locate several missing people. But as of today, we have our first lead,” a police officer says.
The preview cuts to Schreiber’s Jonah Lynn staring at his evidence board, before viewers get the first look at Stephen Graham as the notorious serial killer Jurek Walter. “Jurek Walter has been locked in the basement of the Riverside Psychiatric Hospital under six feet of concrete,” a police officer tells Beetz’s Saga Bauer. “But people are disappearing again. Just like before.”
Saga goes undercover to get answers from Jurek while investigating the case. The trailer goes on to feature a series of vignettes from the series showcasing the hunt for the murderer.
In addition to Schreiber, Beetz, and Graham, Nocturne also stars Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, Gary Carr, and Poorna Jagannathan.
