After a week off, Martín Demichelis’ side returned to training at Cottaweg on Tuesday as preparations resumed for the weeks ahead.
Attention is already turning to a busy run of fixtures after the international break. RBL return to action with two successive home games at the Red Bull Arena, first against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga before PSV Eindhoven visit in the Champions League a few days later.
The RBL players away with their national teams are still to return. David Raum, Willi Orbán and Antonio Nusa are among those still on international duty and will be back in Leipzig at the start of next week.
The training group was bolstered by five U19 players on Tuesday, with Manuel Abbey, Taito Kanda, Julian Wenta, Karl Hamella and Jordy Sebastian joining the first team on the pitch.
Castello and Rocco closing in on team trainingCastello Lukeba, Rocco Reitzand Christoph Baumgartnerare already back at Cottaweg. The trio also worked together on their respective comebacks during the week without training.
Castello is set to be gradually reintegrated into the squad this week and could already take part in sections of team training, while continuing his individual work alongside that.
Rocco is also currently working primarily on an individual basis, but could likewise take part in sections of team training. Baumi will continue with his individual programme.
