If Bayern Munich cannot find a way to offload Sacha Boey to a league where the transfer window is still open, the right-back might have to prepare for a long season of watching from the stands per Sky Germany journalist Kerry Hau (via @iMiaSanMia):
There were two inquiries from England for Sacha Boey on deadline day, but neither has concretized. Boey is aware that he’ll most likely end up very often in the stands if he stays. The Galatasaray option is currently cold, despite reports. It remains to be seen if an option will open up for him before the transfer window shuts in other countries as well.
Boey will not be a total outcast, though, per sporting director Christoph Freund.
“Then he will be treated very fairly. He has behaved very professionally and had a good preseason,” Freund told Abendzeitung journalist Kilian Kreitmair (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
There is still hope that Bayern Munich can find a solution, but the Bavarians might need to swallow their pride and accept a whole lot less than they originally paid for Boey. To make a deal happen, an offer of less than €10 million might have to be deemed acceptable.
