Peel cops have charged a career criminal with several offences after he allegedly stole weapons from a woman’s residence in Brampton.

The woman in question met the man online and had been communicating with him for several weeks. At some point during the online romance, police say the alleged lothario stole keys to her residence and gun locker, then returned to her home and stole two legally owned guns and ammunition.

Investigators from Peel’s 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau eventually identified the suspect as Jason Randolph Blake Bowden, of no fixed address.

Charged with 7 offences

On Sept. 8, police located the suspect in the Dundas St. W and Erin Mills Pkwy. area in Mississauga. He was arrested and charged with seven offences, including p ossession of a firearm contrary to an order, p ossession of a weapon obtained by crime, breaking, entering and stealing a firearm, and f ailure to comply with a probation order.

Police recovered both stolen firearms, ammunition, multiple fraudulent identification documents and bank cards bearing various names that were believed to have been used as aliases.

His aliases include London Valentine Flowers, Cody Young, Adam Bowden, Jason Lafleur, Jason Magnusson, Blake Valentine Genovese, Blake Valentine Magnusson, Ryan John Elliot, Cory Lafleur and David Walter Parkins.

The 42-year-old is no stranger to law enforcement across the country as police say he is “wanted by several police services across Canada.”

Bowden has an extensive criminal record dating back more than two decades. His crimes involved break-and-enters, thefts and related offences.

Investigators are now focusing on determining whether there are additional victims who have not yet come forward.
