The sister of the bride advises her to rearrange some of the seating charts to avoid having people who dislike each other sit together so there's no wedding drama, but the bride insists on keeping everything like she wants it because it's 'her wedding.'

What do you do when you have guests who don't get along? Sitting them together doesn't seem like the best option.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that your wedding is never just your own; it's for your guests. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you should bow to everybody else's whims and plan your wedding according to other people's taste, not at all, especially because usually it's the couple who are paying for most of it. But it is true that you're going to spend months working, talking to your wedding planner, looking for suppliers, planning a menu, and so much more, all for a bunch of people just to show up and have a good time. You'll enjoy it too, but you also had to put in the work for a lot of other people to have fun. So that's what I mean with 'your wedding isn't just your own.'

It is also true that people can make or break your wedding. Guests are the ones participating and keeping the party mood alive, and if they are not giving their best to the situation, things can become boring, at best, and conflictive at worst. My best friends have left out people from their guest lists for that exact reason. You want to avoid wedding drama at all costs.
