Thursday night’s matchup in Denver could be one of the NFL’s best uniform showdowns of the season. When the Broncos host the Seahawks in Week 6, both teams will wear colored jerseys, meaning neither will wear white, a rare sight in the league.
Fans tuning in to an NFL game will typically see at least one team, often the visiting team, wearing white. Thursday’s contest in Denver will go against the grain and with a colorful twist.
Denver will wear its Orange Crush throwbacks, marking the sixth time the Broncos have donned the uniforms since bringing them back in 2024. The retro look has quickly become a fan favorite, and Denver is 5-0 while wearing the throwbacks.

On the other side, Seattle will don a royal blue uniform and silver helmet, throwbacks that are a nod to the 1990s. The Seahawks wore the look in three regular-season games last season leading up to their run to the franchise's second Super Bowl title.
The Seahawks' royal blue throwbacks are slated to make back-to-back appearances, with the defending champions set to wear them again in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. That matchup, however, will not produce another color-versus-color showdown, as Kansas City is scheduled to wear white.
The league embraced color versus color jersey matchups during the 2015-18 Color Rush era, but Thursday’s Broncos-Seahawks game will be only the fourth such matchup since 2021 in which neither team will wear a Color Rush uniform.
The last time two teams went head-to-head while wearing colored jerseys came in Week 15 of the 2025 season, when the Falcons wore black and the Buccaneers donned their Creamsicle uniforms.
Denver enters Thursday with a 3-2 record after a 23-17 Week 5 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, who remain winless. The San Francisco 49ers outlasted the Seahawks 32-29 last Sunday.
