Self-made millionaire Mark Tilbury has shared some advice for how buying GTA 6 can actually save you $5,000. Just don't take this too seriously.
Here's how he arrived at that number: If the game costs $100 (for the Ultimate Edition) and it takes 80 hours to complete, that works out to $1.25/hour of "fun." After adding on side missions and simply exploring GTA 6's map, investing in the game seems like an even better deal at just 50 cents of fun per hour.
If you play for four hours every evening, that's 50 nights of entertainment. Tilbury said people should compare this to a night out where they could easily spend $100 in a night.
"That's why buying GTA 6 actually saves you $5,000," Tilbury says.

So staying in to play GTA 6 may indeed "save" you some money you might have spent elsewhere. You may also play a lot of GTA 6 and continue to go out and spend money on other things.
His math also might be conservative, as people are no doubt going to play GTA 6 for far more than 50 days, especially when GTA Online 2.0 releases in 2027, as expected.
Clearly, though, Tilbury is being cheeky here and created the clip for virality and for people to send to their friends and partners to justify how much they are going to play GTA 6.
GTA 6 launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and a PC edition is expected to be released in 2027.
