Former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, CPI(M) MP John Brittas, and Kerala Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal were detained by the Delhi Police on Friday while heading towards Jantar Mantar to join a protest organised by the CJP. The police action came against the backdrop of tightened security across the national capital in anticipation of the protest. Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas shared a video of the detention on his social media, questioning the actions of the authorities by stating that if this is how the Delhi Police treats a former Chief Minister, it raises concerns over how they would treat a common man.
