Police say they are appealing for witnesses after three kittens were found dead on a roadway in Cambridge on Wednesday.
Waterloo Regional Police said officers responded to the area of Hespeler Rd. and Can-Amera Pkwy. on Wednesday at approximately 9 a.m. after receiving a report of injured animals located on the roadway.
Police said two kittens were found dead at the scene while the third pet later died of its injuries.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, cops said, adding the initial information from the person who made the report suggests the kittens may have come from a moving vehicle travelling southbound on Hespeler Rd.
Cops are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dash camera footage from the area at the time to contact police at 519-570-9777.
