Australia's captain Pat Cummins remains hopeful about Steve Smith's condition as the third Test approaches. Following a neck injury sustained in their recent loss to South Africa, which evened the series, the team is opting to delay any decisions about their lineup until further evaluations. Meanwhile, Cameron Green is anticipated to strengthen the middle order, although adjustments to the opening partnership may also take place as the tournament unfolds.
