Since the 2023 ODI World Cup, Ravindra Jadeja has featured in only 15 of the 32 ODIs India have played. In his last eight matches, he has picked up just three wickets at an economy rate of over six. Captain Shubman Gill has maintained that Jadeja was not dropped for the third ODI, but the 37-year-old is now fourth in the pecking order among India’s bowling all-rounders, behind Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Harsh Dubey.
