The Absolute Universe is officially getting its ultimate team-up.
During DC Comics’ panel at New York Comic Con 2026, the publisher formally announced Absolute Justice, a five-issue crossover event miniseries set to bring the alternate-universe heroes together for the first time in April 2027.
DC’s celebrated writer Scott Snyder took to X and surprised fans with a massive update and teaser images. He wrote, “This April, pick up Absolute Justice!” Written by Jason Aaron with art by Juan Ferreyra, the event marks a major milestone for the imprint.

Promotional artwork released during NYCC offers a first look at the core lineup, featuring Absolute Universe iterations of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Martian Manhunter, Jo Mullein (Green Lantern) and Flash.
According to Scott Snyder, the upcoming crossover event in April 2027 will focus on the deeper Absolute lore of the popular comic line. “If everything is tipped against us, I guess we have to fight.” Notably, the Absolute Justice series won’t disrupt any of the ongoing Absolute titles. Also, there won’t be any crossover tie-in issues.
It will be Martian Manhunter who will serve as the driving force, bringing all the iconic superheroes together to form the Absolute Justice League. More details are yet to arrive on the anticipated event’s full plot.
Since its launch two years ago, DC’s Absolute line has become a global hit with readers thanks to its compelling stories. Titles such as Absolute Superman, Absolute Wonder Woman, and Absolute Batman have helped DC dethrone Marvel as the market leader, giving the publisher the largest share of the comic book market in recent months.
The Absolute line of comics sold over 8.2 million copies last year, with Absolute Batman making the maximum impact. So far, the comic series featuring the new iteration of the Dark Knight has sold more than 6 million copies.
