Paramount+ has revealed the trailer for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. The show marks Michael C. Hall‘s return as an older Dexter Morgan, facing new killers. Showcasing plenty of Morgan’s own murders, the footage hints at Dexter’s midlife crisis.
Dexter: Resurrection is set to premiere its second season on October 30. It will stream on Paramount+, only on its Premium plan. The trailer description, featuring an older Dexter, simply reads, “Some things get better with age.” The revival’s sophomore outing will have 10 episodes.

What happens in the Dexter: Resurrection trailer?The trailer shows Dexter Morgan in a unique predicament. Two serial killers have caught his attention. One is old, notorious, and refuses to stop: The New York Ripper, Don Frampt. The other is a newer killer trying to make a name for himself: Owen Stark, the Five Borough Killer.
While the story unfolds, an older, wiser, and more tired Dexter struggles with his personal issues, chiefly a midlife crisis that he has “no time” for. Meanwhile, Harrison Morgan also pursues justice, thrusting the father-son duo into uncharted territory.
The season also highlights a third killer: the Sleepy-Eyed Stranger, according to Deadline.
Season 2 brings a slew of celebrated actors to join Hall. These include Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington, James Remar, Krysten Ritter, Dan Stevens, Bokeem Woodbine, Nona Parker Johnson, Brian Cox, and Gabriel Luna.
Clyde Phillips is credited as showrunner and producer. Other producers include Hall himself, Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. The project’s executive producers are John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson.
